Capitol City Black Nurses Association Student Scholarship
ANNUAL STUDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ($500)
CCBNA has created a scholarship for current nursing students who show promise and dedication in the arena of community health upon submission. Student selection is competitive and may range from Licensed Vocational Nursing students to Master's prepared nursing students. This fund is created for the purpose of mitigating financial hardship and to recognize the phenomenal community service work that many African American students complete.

DR. KUPIRI ACKERMAN-BARGER SCHOLARSHIP AWARD ($1500)
​
In honor of Dr. Ackerman-Barger, CCBNA is recognizing her career dedicated to diversity and inclusion in higher level nursing education. Dr. Ackerman-Barger is a founding member of CCBNA and a huge catalyst in the creation of our organization. This scholarship is for graduate level nurses (i.e. MSc, NP, PhD) who are conducting or
presenting nursing research that has a focus/aim on African American health and the disparities that exist in the community.

National Black Nurses Association Scholarships
ANNUAL SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED ($1,000-$6,000)
NBNA is committed to excellence in education and conducts continuing education programs for nurses and allied health professionals throughout the year. The association provides annual scholarships for students.
Scholarships provide funding for continuing education. This funding enables nurses to grow and better contribute their talents to the health and healthcare of our communities. Please review the Scholarship Application form carefully, remember, to submit ALL required documents with your application.
Golden State Nursing Foundation Scholarship

The Golden State Nursing Foundation through its scholarships and programs plans to help:

Prepare nurses for the roles emerging from the changes in the delivery of health care.

Preserve the local history of nursing.

Support innovative practice in nursing.

Develop a fundraising plan to assure that activities can be planned to carry out the mission.
HRSA Nurse Corps Scholarship Program
Too many Americans—particularly in underserved areas—go without checkups, preventive screenings, vaccines, and other care, simply because there are not enough health care professionals to provide care and treatment in their communities. The NURSE Corps Scholarship Program enables you to fulfill your passion to care for underserved people in some of the neediest communities across the country.
If awarded, you will receive financial support, including:

tuition;
-
eligible fees;
-
annual payment for other reasonable costs, such as books, clinical supplies/instruments and uniforms; and
-
a monthly stipend ($1,363 for the 2018-2019 academic year).
